Where to find Add on Modules ???

I have downloaded and installed the trial version of 2.09 onto a local server (running winnamp)

I have not been able to find a common place where add-on modules are listed or available.

I found the commercial ones, but does that mean that any add ons I need are paid for ???

I’m thinking of migrating from Zen-Cart, where there are literally hundreds of free modules to add… In their forums, ALL add-ons are located under one common thread, so that users can very easily locate them…

Where do I find them on CS-Cart ?

Thanks,

Mike

My question was not how many, or wether features are pre-installed. I was able to ascertain that myself.

The question related to what add on modules are available in the case that the installed feature is not sufficient

I’m sure there are numerous ones, but there does not appear to be any catalogue of such…

Log into Admin->Administration->Addons

All official free addons are there.

Custom mods of course are hold by 3rd parties.

Any mods that are not listed in the Addons you have to buy from 3rd parties and official cs-cart team. And, you don’t have the right to resell the same addons to others.

Is it clear now? Any other questions regarding addons? We are glad to help.

A couple of points in response:

a) cs-cart does not have a “downloads” or “free add-ons” repository the way Zen Cart and osCommerce do.

b) While cs-cart seems to be an excellent product (I’m a Zen Cart specialist), it still has a much smaller user base than Zen Cart and osCommerce, so naturally there has been fewer contributions developed for it.

c) The fact that cs-cart is a paid product has an impact - positive and negative - on the availability of third party support (paid or unpaid). While the pool is smaller, I suspect there are also fewer completely unqualified goofballs purporting to be “CS-Cart Experts.”

d) Unlike Zen Cart, the cs-cart team appears eager and willing to take on custom software projects; this is part of their business model. So this is one possible avenue for you to take.

e) cs-cart 2.0 is still fairly fresh; it will take time before a significant mass of modifications - paid or unpaid - appears on the scene.

Good luck,

Scott
