you don't have a product code or product id which will match so it will be imported everytime as new product and assigned a new product id...

or skipped as in the video... you have to check also quoted fild as text if product code is beggining with 0... openoffice will cut it...

or add product id from the right side to export...

I don't use product ID or code for anything. What do I put as that? (Unless you mean the # of the item that it assign's when it is entered manually) That the same code under pricing/inventory? That's fine as a new product, as that is what I am wanting it to do. I just have many spreadsheet's with a list that I want to upload as new products.

Ok so it seem's if I manually enter a Product ID, it will add it. But if I leave the product ID field blank in the csv, it will skip during import. Is there a way to get it to automatically create a product ID?

Assign product code and product if will be automaticly created. You have to have something for a key

Ignore post above. Mobile site not working right. Got it going, Thanks a lot for the help. Lifesaver! =)

Ok so I added a ton of stuff, then figured out how to add additional fields (the Features import). So I deleted all the product's, and went back and tried to reimport them all. Now almost every single one of them are being skipped, yet I did nothing different than when I had it working?

I am not quite sure what it is "updating" as I deleted every single product before I did the import.

ImportantData is imported successfully.
New objects - 1;
Updated objects - 1241;
Skipped objects - 0;
Total - 1242.

Here is the file, only thing different from the one before is I added Product code to the product's, as well as Features.

Here is the link to the one I am trying to import: http://www.gizzygames.com/NES_Ready.rar

EDIT: It seem's to update the file above when I delete the NESGAME out of the product code field?

4.3.5 has a trash category and probalby products are moved there...

you can check delete products checkbox before importing but my suggestions is to search for trash category... or just move them to another category by editing category settings in csv and delete them again

ps sorry shift is broke and some other keys on my pc

I am slow and still on 4.3.4 hehe. Though, after I deleted the product codes all out, they all imported fine. Thanks again for the help!

Do you see anything wrong with why I can not import something with a product code? Here is my csv file. Will not import if I have a product code there, which seem's to become a problem while importing games from different system's that have the exact same name, as it just overwrites them. Or is there a place I need to put a product code in the admin area before I import?

Can't get this one to open as a comma delimited CSV. Do you have this as an excel file..

I got it going. I had the product code all the same on each category. I had it as semicolon though.

Office is realy great but it will not save an csv as utf 8 document. Use OpenOffice after you have formatted your document to save it properly. Click save as and then select the checkbox under for additional settings. Also office is using windows settings for decimals and separators. Chevk the regional box under control panel

Just a note that I landed here with the same import error - "Your import file MUST have the following fields: Product code". The cause was using CSV UTF-8 (Comma Delimited) when saving from Excel 2016. I changed to standard CSV (Comma Delimited) and import worked. So at least for me with Office 2016 click to run and CS-Cart 4.7.1 (sp2) UTF-8 will not work, but standard CSV will.
