Website will crash in IE6.

I got the solution!!!

Disable the Statistics addon and everything is fine!!!

I will try to clean the Statistics data first!!!

How to back up it??? Errr…

Crazy!!!

Or…Can I say this addon is useless???

I ran through it for a bit and didn’t have any major issues.

On first load, I got this message: Unfortunately we cannot locate this page for you in a small box towards the upper left hand corner…the page actually loaded though.

The only thing that I can think of is your png fix script might be acting funny. I have had a ton of ins and outs with the png fixes for IE6 and sometimes its not worth messing with them

Hi, thanks for your reply.

But the problem is gone only when I turned off the Statistics addon. Before that I removed everything could cause the problem.

IE6 will not crash everytime but the chance is really high (95%), especially when I enter the product detail page.

I’m sure it’s this addon and now everything is fine except that I can not track what is going on through my website…-_-

BTW, i didn’t get that error, IE6 will just say “XXX. Memory could not be read XXX”. It is crashed so easily…

Did you use flash in your homepage?

By the way, I am testing via virtual pc on windows 98. What is your operating environment?

Nope no flash. I get same error on 2.0 cs-cart demo site

I’m using Windows XP latest and IE6 SP2.

My IE6 will crash on the sites in the live sites section for:

1.http://www.juliettesinteriors.co.uk/

in the product detail page especially

2.http://www.e-garment.gr/eshop/

at any page ie6 will easily get crashed…

3.art4all.eu is available for purchase - Sedo.com

crash…

I am thinking it’s my ie6’s fault.

If someone can help me testing those sites using your own IE6, your help will be much appreciated.

BTW, even my localhost will crash in IE6 (before it will), so I strongly dount it’s my IE6’s fault…

Sorry about this issue…IE6 is just so vulnerable…I think some software with ie plugin cause this problem…

I also found that if I disable Live help and Statistics addon, ie6 is very hard to crash…It seems some js files cause this problem…

I’m not quite sure what to tell you Joe, but the three sites you listed above all work fine for me in IE6. Maybe it is a setting in your IE6?

I don’t usually use IE let alone IE6, but I thought I would test it for you and let you know.

Brandon

Thank you so much Brandon!

I’m very curious that only www.watchshopuk.com plays very nice with my IE6…
