V4.3.4 System Email Notifications

We just upgraded to V4.3.4 and even when unchecking the boxes to not notify customers of order changes the system still sends email notification...

Where do we fix this..

Yes.. Anytime I change an order status and chose not to notify the customer it still does..

Also if we create a shipment and chose not to notify it still does.

Not really. It's working fine on my end.

Odds are a 3rd party addon is acting on the change status event and is sending the notification....Suggest you disable all 3rd party addons and see if problem persists. Some addons decide that they want to "force notification" or they might be doing so inadvertently by not passing the passed value of notifications downstream and so the defaults are then used.

Aside from 3rd party addons, upgrades can cause issues as well. I use comparison software (file and database structure) after every upgrade and in most cases there are things missing and/or not removed.

Thanks Tony,, It was eComLabs "Order History" add-on.. Uninstalled and now works correctly when changing order status on the order details page.. Yet if you go in and add a shipment and change order status and leave box unchecked it still notifies..

I have also verified this in our V4.3.5 test site.. I will post as a bug...

If you can duplicate it a demo.cs-cart.com then you'll probably get a quick response on the bug. If not, will need to identify root cause and then work with the developer to correct the error.

Please check the status settings. There also are the 'notifying' check boxes.

As for sending notification when creating a shipment.. Cs-cart states "Working as Designed".. In previous version then you unchecked the box it would stop both the "Order Status Change" email and the "Shipment Notification" email. Now it only stops the "Shipment Notification" email. It will send "Order Status Email" no matter what.. Just another step added to the process.. Now if you don't want any notifications send you have to create shipment but not change order status and then go to the order to change status and not send...
