CS-Cart v3 and v4 use RateV4Request for domestic rate requests, but there's no telling if there isn't going to be some headaches come Sept 28th…

CS-Cart support does not consider USPS shipping updates to be critical, and they have never addressed them pro-actively. See their response to the changes that were coming last January:

http://forum.cs-cart.com/tracker/issue-4824-usps-web-tools-updates/

The last USPS Webtools update announced in August and implemented Sept 7th created errors and is discussed here:

Usps Changes...only Priority Mail Being Offered - Issues & Troubleshooting - CS-Cart Community Forums

Reported to CS-Cart here (still in Unconfirmed status): http://forum.cs-cart.com/tracker/issue-5249-usps-extra-serviceusps-tracking-error/

Do you know if cs-cart version 2.1.1 uses ratev3 or v4?

May have to do something quickly here

Thanks,

Daid

In my archives, I have a v2.1.2 version that used RateV3Request, and I have a v2.1.4 that used the RateV4Request.

So if your version is 2.1.1 probably not.

You can see for yourself in the file /shippings/usps.php

Look for this:

// Domestic rate calculation

$query=<<

If the file /shippings/usps.php does show V3, what will I need to do?

Maybe setup a manual method based on weight. Really hate to setup new site.

Thanks,

Dve

I logged into CS-Cart Help Desk and looked at the File Area > Updates

They have a few USPS Patches available but the oldest version they support with the patches is v2.2.4

Looking at it's contents, I don't know if it will work for you - there may have been changes made to the database that are not included in this patch.

I would make a backup of all the files that will be overwritten by this patch and give it a try. If it fails, then you can restore your original files.

This is one of those cases where it pays to keep your software up to date.

SOLVED.

I submitted a ticket to cs-cart. A day and a half later they said all was fixed on my site.

They made some changes to /shipping/usps.php file. I'll have to pull a copy from a backup to find out what was changed. If anyone needs this file, please let me know. This is for version 2.1.1

Hi Dave,

Can you please forward the file to me? Thanks! - Jeff

Dave,

Can you (or anyone) post the changes by any chance?
