We are planning to use Invision power forum software which is indeed used by Cs-Cart to run it's forums as you can see from the reference link at the bottom of this page.
We are wondering whether we could use Cs-Cart's API for handling the login for the forum software.
For eg: An existing cs-cart user could login with cs-cart itself and would not require for him to create an additional login for posting on the forums
Has anyone had any experience using the Cs-Cart API?
Any suggestions would be welcomed?
Not sure how you intend to use the api for forum credentials… If the forum site is in the same domain as your cart (is a subdirectory). Then you could probably modify the forum sw to honor the cs-cart credentials info in the session.
