So I have created user group “wholesale” and in payment methods wholesale is ticked to see paypal only. Other payment methods like 2CO got guest and registered thicked.
I logged in as a wholesale customer and I still get to see all payment methods even wholesale group not supposed to see. it looks as if buyers would be attached to registered and wholesale group both by default.
2CO commision is 5.5% it is just too expensive for larger orders…

I don't find any groups at all to create, on my administration panel. Why is that? I'm using 2.2.3 community edition.

Maybe community edition does not have user groups

So is there a solution so
registered or guests do not see wholesale user group? And if promoted to wholesale user group you no longer see payment methods marked for guest and registered?
I just installed the pro trial overtop the community edition and I get a 404 when i click on user groups or store locator or store access. I guess that wasn't a good idea?

Hint = By simply uploading the files from a different version on top of your current version, what are the odds that your CS-Cart “Database” actually received the necessary updates as well to run this new version?
