Use of Ideal payment option and ssl/https

I am totally clueless as to the use of suchs a payment option as Ideal (or for that matter any payment option:???: ).

Do I need to have the protocol in the Payment methods set to https?

The short answer to your question is

IF you have SSL (Secure Socket Layer) installed (which you should for the security of the customers) then ‘YES’



Most payment gateways require them.



SSL certificates are available for your domain from many different sources referenced in other threads.
