www.mydomain.com is domain url

/public_html/ is a directory in server and has nothing to do with domain name. You need to specify exact location of your cart in server.

so what should I be putting?

it worked last time when I upgraded from 2.0.6 - 2.0.7

Only you should not correct structure of your server. On dedicated and shared hosting everything is different. Use some file manager or ftp to see the directory tree.

It looks like my directory tree is correct, as follows:

mydomain.com/public_html

I have checked using an ftp client “cuteftp pro”

All my cscart files are located in the root directory.

Still confused  I have put a ticket in to CS, probably wont get answered for 24 hours at least !!

Try http://www.mydomain.com/public_html/ with the ‘/’ after

Generally speaking, you should never see the public_html directory from a live site, as this would suggest that your web server has enabled navigation above the public_html directory. The whole point of having this folder in your account is so that you can put files, downloads, etc. in a location that is still local to your user account, but cannot be accessed directly.

Therefore, since you stated that you installed the cart in your ‘root’ directory, I would say that just using your domain with a trailing slash should work. i.e. use the same URL that your customers would use to view the store itself.

Another way of putting it is to say that the directories you see in your FTP account are not all accessible from web browsing to your domain - what appears to be the ‘root’ to visitors to your website is most likely the contents of public_html/ - its files and subfolders - when you log in as an FTP user to your hosted account.

Sorry - to be clear - try:

http://www.mydomain.com/

I have now upgraded !!

Only had to use the following in the directory feild and it worked !!

public_html/

Thanks for all the help
