I decided 5 days ago to upgarde from 206 to 207, no issues (so I thought).
Now I cant login on IE to admin area.
My costumers cant purchase any products because when checking out the products simply desapeared from the cart.
I cant revert the upgrade because there isnt any revert link inside admin (logged in on FF)
Try to upgrade again for 207 it simply reloads the page and nothing happens.
Cant upgarde for 208 because it keeps telling me I have 206 and need to upgarde to 207 (AGAIN)
Cant add products or edit because theres a parse string problem on products.php file (fixed uploading a 208 products.php file by FTP)
Contacted support, here’s their anwser:

There is no such a problem after the upgrade of default CS-Cart version 2.0.6 to CS-Cart version 2.0.7. This problem requires an investigation but, unfortunately, your technical support period is expired, so now we cannot render you the assistance free of charge. If you want to continue using our support service, you need to order either support credits or a support period on the “Services” page in your Help Desk account.
Thank you.

They have to be joking.
Theres alot of people with issues upgrading and they claim there isnt such a problem? I need to pay for an INTERNAL ERROR?
I did’t had ANY file permissions problems… ANY… as I said the upgrade went smothly without any problems. I didn’t upgraded to 2.0.8 I upgraded from 2.0.6 to 2.0.7 and since I dont have access to 2.0.7 files Im stucked with this HUGE problem. I’m losing hundreds of euros daily because of this.
FTP into your site and go to var/upgrades/upgrade_2.0.6-2.0.7.tgz/backup
Copy this files to your computer and then back to the appropriate places on your server.
Doing this should revert all your files back to 2.0.6. As for the database, I would think that the upgrade would have backed up the database, but I don’t know where it puts it.
Be sure to backup your site before trying this as I don’t really know what it will do.
I understand that you are having issues but quite simply it can be a large number of issues effecting your store, rather than the one you mentioned.
2.0.7 I’ve uploaded to my website for you to download; check your PM’s for the link.
If you are losing a few hundred euros per day I would suggest that you pay the cash, € to USD is quite good at the moment so worthwhile to hedge your bets.

nbento,
Jesse is being very kind to you and giving you very good advice.
It really does not matter who is at fault if you are losing hundreds of Euros a day you need to have your problem fixed today. You can argue and point fingers later.
I had an upgrade related payment gateway problem which I asked CS cart to fix and they did in one day at a fair price. I was able to use PayPal as a backup so I did not lose any sales.
Who was at fault? I think CS cart but I am not sure as their answers can be hard to understand and there is a language problem.
Also what we as customers consider to be bugs they may consider to be design flaws which they are not responsible for.
But Jesse’s point is fix it now, and you should.
Also can you simply restore your backup? I am not a computer person so I do not know if there is a difficulty with that option?
I know jesse has done enough, Im not baliming him for anything, or pointing fingers directly to him. His solution is in my opinio what had to be done to begin with by the suport. I mean, what he did here, was simply giving me a “solution” and provided me with the 2.0.7 files… So if he can do it (since he already has done it) why didnt support did it as well? Why their first arguemnt was you NEED to pay? Is that so hard to provide the files?
Jesse thank you very much It worked liek a charm… I do really appreciate it

They don’t work for free and have a business to attend to, bigger pay = more support.

Because 2.0.7 is a “old” release and the files you were provided should not be released as the upgrade script covers what you needed.
