Update jQuery to latest version. Update visual editors, tinyMCE and CKeditor to latest version, many of these are several years old.
Mind that jQuery 2 does not support IE8. jQuery 1.9 does.
When you update JS, then please separate the use of javascripts per storefront. JS are an important part of creating storefront designs, while CS-C currently applies the same JS effects / settings to all front end, making it extremely hard to create unique designs with jQuery effects.
Only an issue if using Ultimate.
