UnicaCool.com - Instant cool for your home.

We finally just launched our CSC site: UnicaCool.com

Still lots of customizations that we need to do, but it’s functional enough currently.

Very nice light design.

I would make the descriptions in the item a little bigger font size wise and maybe added a tad darkness to the grayness.

Also, I think it would be cool if you used :first-letter on the description to give first letter larger size, different color than gray (say that off-greenish) and maybe used a different font family on it, like Times italic…

Also, communication-social on the footer is the largest message on your website, it even is bigger than the website logo. Just saying it is kind of too big, perhaps without a reason…

Categories look like a bit of a block of text, maybe line dividers will help separate the content…

I would say that the text on the nav bar is a little hard to read (home, shop by category, ect.) and also in your FAQ section you need to put the large blocks of text into short paragraphs, otherwise it’s just a pain to read.

overall good job.

I love the creativity of the shop! Do you have a located store too?

We do have a store. There are pictures of the showroom and directions on our main site here:

Why so it does… thanks.

Very nice, clean, overall elegant look.

Quite fitting to your market it appears, nice work!

Made some minor changes since I posted it.

The category menu has multiple mouse over colors for subcategories, the item descriptions only show up on mouse over when listing products, and some of the buttons have been made more uniform. It’s starting to look nice. Now we just need to create nice image maps for all the category headers, and pages for the designers and manufacturers. Shouldn’t be hard to program that stuff.

I like your site, you did a good job on the design. Looks cool!

Could I get some opinions on our new catalog categories page?

I threw it together in the last couple hours, the stock one didn’t sit well with me.

(Note: don’t use “item” as a var name in ie for unknown reasons)

Seems to work fine in IE8.

I feel this is an example of just because you can do a neat effect doesn’t mean you should. I personally find it annoying. Simple Category Icons with a text description under them works better for me and probably your customers.

When you click one it kind of blends it into the next page.

I think it looks good!

Excellent site design!
