Uhmm...How do you upgrade?

Yes, I’ve searched the forum but I’m not liking what I see. I dl’ed the 1.33 but I think I’m going blind b/c there is no documentation on how to upgrade from 1.32 > 1.33.

I’ve seen some posts where folks say just back up your database and do a complete, clean install of 1.33 then import your database. But does that mean I should DELETE the existing db after backing up? Or will the install do that all for me?

I’m really liking cs-cart, but their documentation is lacking severly. Sorry for my noobness, but can someone point in the right direction here please. Should the sequence be:

  • Back up database
  • wipe install directory and delete existing db
  • do complete, new install of 1.33
  • import old db
  • RE-DO any template changes (that sucks big time)
