The Taxes are not calculated on surcharge!!! WHY???

Hi to all,

I’ll explain my problem shortly:

I need to add 8 euros for C.O.D. service, so let’s say the product cost is 90€, the shipping cost is 10€ and the surcharge is 8€. Now with a simple calculator the vat is 18€ (VAT at 20%), and then why CS CART does’t calculate it and it gives me always 16.67 as VAT???



Can someone help me out with this problem???

Because surcharges are mostly used for adding payment processing charges which are not taxable.

OK, but cs-cart programmers could at least give us the choice to decide if make it taxeble or not the surcharge, because here in my country (Italy), everything is taxeble from the cod surcharge to the credit card surcharge… and for me now is a big problem.

No suggestion to how to fix it?

Now it is the time to fix the tax problem on payment surcharge for version v2.2.3 !!!
