Tax on freight?

Hi,



I cannot see where to instruct the cart to charge 10% GST [Goods and Services Tax] on the freight charges.



I can add it to the products OK - but how do I get it added to the freight?

After taking this issue up with cscart, it seems the standard or default cscart does not allow for GST or VAT to be added to any freight charge!



I did not believe this when I was told, considering there must be hundreds of cscarts in Australia and Europe requiring this feature.



I was also not impressed at the $125US fee I was quoted to modify my cart to provide this feature. That is the same price as I paid for the store.



I requested this issue be looked at seriously in future upgrades.



To cscart’s credit, they have agreed to do so.

I have been looking for this too… Many States in USA apply sales tax to freight charges…



This is very important and needs to be addressed .

Has this been fixed in 1.3.4?



Legally Australians have to include gst in shipping. I’m very surprised cs cart can’t do this. I hate to say it but xcart can.

At the present moment I don’t quote GST for items rather ‘top’ up the freight charge by 10%.



This however doesn’t help the book keeping :oops:
