I have seen some very old post about this and even some mods that are quite old just not sure they are applicable to the latest version and it would be nice if the software had this incorporated.
The Ip address is stored (and displayed) for orders in 2.0. It should be pretty straight-forward to add and display it in abandoned carts. You might want to post this as a request in the abandoned carts roadmap thread:

You are right about the orders, I did miss it. Sometimes when you are looking for something its in your face but you can’t see it. Thanks for that.
