Hi i started a threadf bout something similar a while ago but i got no help, so am trying again in the hopes i didn’t explain the issue very well.
I have one set delivery rate for ALL destinations
I have one ‘default’ location with all countries
The shipping is assigned to a few products, (everything else is free shipping)
the issue is this, when i add a product to my cart it is showing as a zero price on shipping and no taxes untill i reach the delivery options stage, whereby it then adds the shipping/tax, however this is missleading and confusing for the customer, and as i only have one set rate for all destinations, it should show the correct cost from the outset.
first stage, look at the shipping on the right £0.00

How is the system supposed to know the customer's shipping address if they have not signed in nor entered it? You can use a default address but that will be misleading as well.

Obviously the customer needs to complete their shipping address, however it is irrelevent to the cost of the shipping as there is only one set shipping cost, therefore the system should show it as it is independant of the address.
the same goes for the TAX, as it is included in the product price and a set rate, therefore it should be calculated from the outset.
In that case, fill in the default address in Settings->General->Default location
Also in Settings->Appearance->Customer settings-> Estimate taxes using default address on cart/checkout pages
that's done, so i guess it's not being picked up by the system…

hi, I have searched the KB and these forums but I can't get any shipping charge to show at any stage of the checkout process. I am using 2.08 version. I need to set a flat charge per order up to £50 with free shipping over that. I have followed instructions at [url=“CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation”]CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation but it hasn't changed anything. Also, when a customer adds a product that does not have “free delivery” or item specific carriage cost, it doesn't allow them to continue through the checkout process. Does this mean I will have to go through every product and change it to “free delivery” just to allow a customer to buy it?
