anyone experience this before?
i would like to chain it with globalsign root,
i tried the cabundle listed in globalsign web/alphassl web, but still not use, its still said the certificates is not trusted, i believe this is self-signed, that’s why it need to be chain, but i try all the possibilites in my cpanel, the ca bundle is invalid.
Each of the web browsers come with a default set of CA signatures they recognize.
If you use a CA who is not included in that default set with the browser distribution, the web browser won’t recognize the signature and will give you that alert which is functionally about identically to having a self-signed certificate.
You can update your web browser to recognize the CA’s signature on your certificate but so will everyone else who uses the same web browser and version as you.
That tells me you are probably dealing with a newer CA who isn’t included with all browsers yet
Yes, that is it. And that is the differece between established old SSL cert providers and others.
can you tell me which ca i should use?
im using alphassl+ cpanel
and when i look into the ssl checker from
http://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html
my website still no chain, only alphassl and no intermedite chain globalsign root ca
it should be chain with globalsign right?
from what i know the certificate is alphassl → globalsign (chain)
RapidSSL or GeoTrust QuickSSL. They will work without issues, trust me and it’s not because we sell is, I say it because it’s thruth.
but i already purchase alphassl >_<
and no refund for it right.
I see, how much they cost?
11.95usd
my certificates currently running on 128bit, if i would like to change to 256bit, can i ask my certificate provider to change, and i will give the rsa, and they give me the signature certificate again?
or i must purchase a new certificate
It would be the best if you ask your SSL seller, but usually you will have to pay other cert.

You should check with the SSL cert provider and/or your webhost.
I have used Rapid SSL certs. at $50 for 5 years ($10 per year) with no problem.
Except they are being phased out and in the future single root SSL certs will probably not be available.
Please let us know how you solve your problem.
Alpha SSl certs sound good so give them a chance to fix your problem.
