Hey would there be a reason why after I take the old “skin” folder and upload it to the new host cPanel that after I refresh the admin panel I would get that “Secure Connection Failed” error about the SSL?
Not unless you have an unsecured item loading, for example, when the page is served under HTTPS, you have something being loaded (image, javascript, etc) from http:// not https://. See the KB article for SSL Secure Connection Failed.
Note if your SSL certificate is valid for www.yourdomain.com but you have your site installed using anything but 'www.yourdomain.com' you will get SSL errors.
