Simple (?) Promotion

I want to run a promotion like this:

Purchase $50 or more from Category X and receive 10% off your order.



I created a cart promotion with all conditions required:

  • Categories in Category X
  • Order subtotal equal or greater 50



    This gives 10% off when any products total $50 or more. Is it possible to restrict this promotion to only the products in Category X?

You can do a catalog promotion and from there under Conditions select the Category you want to assign it to. That is what we did. We have a Specials Category where users get 30% off anything placed in that Category.

A catalog promotion won’t let me specify the necessary subtotal of $50 or more.
