Any recommends for simple free websites I can set up on my server for my daughters up coming simple project.
She just wants to advertise her dog grooming/boarding kennels and walking service.
I looked at wordpress etc but I want to just set her own registered domain on my server and let her run with that.
I wondered if the CS community version could be stripped of the ecommerce section and used that way ?

You can still set a domain up on your server and use Wordpress. Go to wordpress.org and download the install-able version. You can build some nice looking sites with just the standard themes as well!

Yeah wordpress.com is for setting up a blog. Worpress.org is an install-able CMS
