Anyone know how you show stock levels in the product listing pages in v3.03?

More specifically,
How do you add the Stock Quantity to the product listing pages in version 3. In version 2 there are more templates and the ‘List’ template includes the quantity in stock. This template doesn’t exist in version 3.03

Just to let you know. I seemed to resolve this by copying
/skins/basic/customer/blocks/product_list_templates/products.tpl from the version 2.2.5 installation to the same directory in the version 3.0.3 directory.
Seems to work fine.
