Shipping per item / Hide other Shipping charges

Hi,



I need to set up a flat fee shipping cost (£5), for some special items (documents) which need to be delivered by special delivery. I have done this by adding a Shipping freight of £5 under the Product and then creating a 'free' shipping option. I have a few questions …


  1. This works fine but the normal shipping methods also come up in the cart when some goes to checkout. Some of those will make the shipping less, so people could choose the cheaper method. How do I 'hide' the other shipping options from view when only the special items are chosen?


  2. How can I set-up the special item so that it only charges one delivery charge for the first document bought, and not for each one?

Thanks, Darius, I had seen that but I was concerned about overwriting core files. I will check out but it would be a last resort.



Any other ideas welcome :-)
