So is this setting set per product in the backend or just one checkbox that will tell the shipping calculator to either calculate the products combined or separate?

I figured as much, but I just had to ask. This mod sounds like it might work for me since my current one for 1.3.5.sp4 more than likely won’t work for 2.0, but I just need to know as much as I can before committing any money.

Both features are supported by the current version of SmartShip (for xcart).

Bump - what is the status of this mod?



We are beginning to get more bookstore orders and need to be able to escape the single packing freight problem…



Does the software balance packages according to weight, fill, volume or cost?



i.e.

Weight - balances shipment freight so that no package exceeds a given threshold.

Fill - fills each package sequentially to a set max weight per package

Volume - fills each package by dimensions to a fix freight dimension (less packing material margin), ignoring weight.

Cost - fills each package to the most economical weight for the given order
