Shipping rates in CS-Cart are entered in the primary currency of the store. That is inconvenient as soon as a carrier prices its service in a different one: you have to recalculate the rate by hand and redo it every time the exchange rate moves.
What the add-on does
It adds a currency selector to the settings of every shipping method. The rate you type in is then treated as a price in that currency, and at checkout it is converted into the store’s primary currency using the coefficient from the currency list in the administration panel.
- The currency is chosen per shipping method, not globally — different carriers can be priced in different currencies.
- Rates are converted at calculation time, so updating the exchange rate in the currency list is enough; the shipping method itself does not need to be touched.
- Leaving the selector at the default value keeps the method working exactly as before.
Works with CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor from version 4.3.1 in all editions.
