We sometimes ship items in stock separately so we use the shipments addon.
We need a packing slip with the shipment contents ( only the items in the shipment) rather than the general packing slip when preparing an order. We would then like to notify the customer once the package has been shipped and we have the tracking number.
The shipping option only allows a tracking number to be entered and the customer to be notified during the new shipment creation, afterwards the shipment is not editable ie. to add a tracking number and the customer cannot be notified with the shipment contents.
Ideally the shipment would be created in order to obtain a packing slip. Later the tracking number could be added and the customer notified of the shipment.
Anyone else having the same issues and any suggestions for a work around.
