Sessions Overload

One of my clients has a shop hosted on a shared server (bad idea I know) and the host shut the site down the other day because the sessions table was overloaded and apparently crashed the entire server. I was able to empty the table and get the site back online.

How is it possible to control the number of pages the cscart_sessions table will cache other than emptying it every so often.

Not to my knowledge, I’m unsure how cron jobs work but it might be worth creating a small php script that does just that.

PHPMyAdmin would most likely be easier to drop the table’s contents but a one-button click on script might be handy?
