SEO Google Index - Thousands of sites being deindexed - WHY?

Not sure why you have split the Sitemap Index to Sitemap type.
Below as example AB sitemap works:

The custom links is a feature of the Advanced sitemap add on, it is configurable in the advanced sitemap settings under ?dispatch=ab__as_links.manage

If you have multiple language I’d suggest temporary disabling anything but the default one and regenerating the sitemap in the menu (AB: Add-ons > AB: Adv. Sitemap > Generate), deleting all sitemaps in Google and submitting sitemap1.xml (which is the links, not images).

I also have the SEO pages for filters add-on as memel below, I’ve never fully figured out why I can’t remove some of the combinations it submits and I hate it that google has to deal with so many combinations, it’s useless.

This way you will only have the canonical links in the sitemap, so it might be easier for google to crawl your website.

As for the LCP, this is huge. My LCP is 2.2s, I have 1.8s TTFB, which I can’t seem to be able to solve (htaccess prolly has some to say on the matter, mine is along list of rules and banned IPs and IP ranges to get rid of the CN and Ru bots and crawlers)

Oh, and btw, since June 14-16, when I noticed I’ve been blocking google, I’ve regained about 100 website impressions and clicks and about 10-11 places on average (Ive dropped to 40+ on average until then, although we still get good results as the domain name is very good). So I’m hopeful. But I had to submit a lot of products myself, whereas before I only had to upload a new product and it was indexed in a day.

I am seeing the same issue. All my indexed pages got deindexed after 31st May.

As you can see in the below sceenshot 277 pages tages as Crawled - currently not indexed

Could you try to get a product link in the inspect and see what google says about it, then request indexing and check the next day. I found some (mostly new) products and submitted them for indexing, last night I rechecked and they were indexed. I also had 2 links left as I went over my daily quote on indexing requests and when I checked them, they were indexed. So it does index, I just don’t get how it is done.

TBH - it all looks perfectly fine to us

Did you try to request indexing and what happened?
BTW, weird, I haven’t seen this “only if certain conditions are met”.

tried everything - We have no idea but it might be an issue with the consent tool. That thing seems to break our website when turned off

Something happened since July 16th, 2025.
Google is indexing again.

Google indexing now and from the past 6 month looks positive. Hope it’s fixed and will not deindex again.
