SEO - cant get it working

hello there,



i goto settings → modules → tick the SEO box



but then none of the links to the products work

I have checked with our host that mod_rewrite is installed and it is

i have re-imported the products but still the links are dead.

is there some major step im missing here?

Check to ensure you have data within your .htaccess file at the root directory.



This should show elements of ‘Rewrite On’ otherwise it cannot re-write urls which is explaining your issue. There are multiple posts with this subject and attached code for you.

I have done everything as ur guide in another topic.

What’s the problem? Is it the access limit? What need I set?

I need to rewrite all the menus like this:



www.mysite.com/main_menu/subcategory/Third_subcategory/product.html.



How to set the rule?



I found the news and top (or bottom) links didnt rewrite, also for the sidebox.



What rules need to define?

I have resolved this problem by myself, just need to add a “#” before “RewriteBase /”.



Btw, I want to know how to rewrite the top links, anybody can help?
