Ok so i have the SecurePay module which is built for CS-Cart 2.
My question is does anyone know if the files are still compatible for the new version or am i better off developing a new custom module

Unfortunately, they are not compatible and it is required to adapt them. As an example, you can compare two scripts of the same payment method from different CS-Cart versions.
