Can someone explain Secondary catagories and how it works to me pleaase

That is so you can list the same product in multiple categories.
Example: I have Hardcover Collectors Pictorial Books that need to be listed under 3 Categories:
Hardcover Books
Pictorial Books
Collectors Books
So, from the Product Page (which is under Hardcover Books) I select the other 2 categories under secondary categories.
