OK, well this was weird. So I had a lady contact me about some of her products not showing up. I took a look and sure enough, the products weren’t on the customer side. They were active and everything was correct, but nothing her or I would do would make the products show up.
I could press the preview button and they’d show up, but that was it.
I tried clearing the cache and all of that, but still nothing.
I finally resynced her store with Searchanise and all of a sudden the products were there.
So, I’m wondering a couple of things.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Why would searchanise do this? Sure, I can see the search not working right, but I wasn’t searching, I was browsing.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Brandon
i wish i knew right now im experiencing some issues as well
I have had this too on my dev shop. Turning off searchanise fixed it (just turning off and on or resyncing didn't!)
After a week or so, I thought let's try again. I turned on searchanise and everything worked again.
This happening on a live shop would be very bad. Would love to hear from cs-cart what causes this.
Hello all,
Thank you for your message.
I am really sorry to hear that you have experienced this issue. Generally such a problem occurs when new products are added directly to the database (not via CS-Cart admin panel) or with using some custom modifications which do not use the standard CS-Cart fn_update_product function. In this case such products will not be synchronized automatically.
However, if you think that it is not the case, I suggest that you should better contact us via Customer Help Desk and provide temporary access to your server by clicking on the Add record link on the Access information page of your Help Desk account so that we could examine the issue. Also please provide IDs of the products which are not searched in your store at the moment.
Thank you.

Do note that some controllers in cs-cart itself update the db directly and do not use fn_update_product().
Hello tbirnseth,
Thank you for your message.
We know about such places in CS-Cart code and it is already considered in Searchanise add-on logic. So there should not be any problems with this.
Thank you.

Hello Pavel,
Searchanise does not find the goods, if you type, for example, code “7777”, then in goods name contains the N7777.
