Is there an easy way to change how the search results look? Right now, when I do a search from the search block on the home page, the search results are displayed as a text only list. I would like to be able to format them as a compact list of products.
Settings>General>Search Options
Uncheck Pages and then your search results page will return a list of products using the template as defined in Settings>Appearance>Product list default layout (although this can be overridden by checking “Use the selected layout for current category or search page only”
Ok, I unchecked settings>general>search options:pages - no change
Then I unchecked settings>appearance>product list layout settings: use the selected… - no change
The product list default layout is set to compact list
The results still show up as a number list of pages.
