Of course you don't actually have to upgrade. I work on sites from 2.2.4 to 4.0.3 and they all do well. Some of the 2.x sites do really well and we have no reason to upgrade them. They are making money and doing what we need to do with them and 4.x doesn't have anything these clients need, so no need to upgrade. Obviously if you are a person that wants to keep up with the newest thing and you customize CS-Cart, it is going to cost money to upgrade. But, if you are a person that just is happy with a site that is running fine and making money, the cost of CS-Cart is pretty darn low.

Might want to try learning about Seo and then you may get some traffic instead of acting like you just got

Just off the top of my head.
H1 tags galore.
h2 tags galore
h3 tags galore.
duplicate content galore. cat pages the next page button and all the rest produces duplicate content.
Why not have canonical links so this doesn't happen ? Wow what a idea ! I imagine 3/4 of the people don't even know what they are.
And the best part is it is on the forums for long time and yet the developers keep doing it.
My site is fine as I have spent a lot of time and money and fustration overcoming the seo problems not to mention half working add ons ect.
Just mind numbing the same problems that existed versions and versions ago and are talked about in the forums just keep coming out.
But hey we now have a theme editor now for people who don't know how to edit css. But if they do try to edit the css in the theme editor by using the custom css and make a mistake their site crashes… Brillant …

We own 3 brick and mortar stores for over 50 years. We do 1.5 million a year. So yea we know all about business.
I have owned and sold many many succesful sites.
But it sounds like I struck a nerve and you shouldn't expose your insecure side because of what I wrote.
Then again truth hurts and when truth hurts people who lack control over their emotions attack and act like a 12 year old.

We did 7 figures with our webshop within 2 years, using cs-cart, hardly doing any seo tuning. All the H1 H2 stuff is about very small percentages that hardly make a difference anymore. Making a good site, that looks good, navigates easily, works well, and has honest, good content and products will win from SEO each and everytime.
Not being a dick also helps, btw.
I agree there is def room for improvement, but it really all ain't that bad.
