Respondsive Design Max Width

Hello,

Responsive: Large desktop and up 1200px

According to logic responsive should adjust to any screen size. Why is it limited to 1200px screen width then? My screen is 24in 1900x1200px I would like website to use all this space, how do I do that?

I actually mean center column content width, how to make it full screen?

You can edit the layout Properties and change the max width. You will need to mouse over the layout name(Main and etc.) to see the hidden button.

OMG! :D you made my day! :) thanks a lot

Overall I am not exactly happy with the result with what happens when I decrease browser width. Normally what I would expect in grid view columns would simply be removed and fitted just as much as it fits.

If I set 6 columns and decrease size of browser I get 5 columns then very narrow columns and later just 2.

Pintrest works correct way

Shrinking screen size removes a column in grid view, picture remains correct size all time.

Ok so I am increasing and decreasing size of my browser, images are getting bigger or smaller but actually they are 200pix. Can I make some css change so image size would stay fixed all time?

Thank you

Just wondering ('there is no free lunch' somebody said)…

  1. are there any disadvantages to be expected when changing from 'Fixed Width' to 'Fluid' or 'Full Width'?
  2. We use a third-party template (responsive), if we change, should we change some settings with the template also?

Thank you in advance for any help.
