I'm trying to delete additional images from a product using the "x" button at the top right of the image while in the "Images" tab. But it doesn't remove the image completely. When browsing the product on the front-end, I see broken images. Help please.

I'm trying to delete additional images from a product using the "x" button at the top right of the image while in the "Images" tab. But it doesn't remove the image completely. When browsing the product on the front-end, I see broken images. Help please.
This happens when you remove the image without saving changes with the usual "Save" or "Save and close" buttons in the top right corner of the page.
