Is it at all possible to have “related products” as a slideshow (sideblock preferably)?
In the interim just wondering if it is going to be possible, ultimately would look for some help or alternately “someone” who can achieve that for me.

It would be a custom mod.
Have to remove related products from the tabs box and then figure out how to feed it to the scroller.
Ok - where does one get one of these?? A simple jquery graphics slideshow that fits in a sidebox, with graphics and links and “wishlist” - no “buy now or add to cart” buttons??
The reasoning behind this request is that it will save sidebox extending far beyond the product page.
If anyone has or sees benefit of such a module could they please contact me via pm.

There is a 'scroller' content type available in the block properties. You can configure its speed, left, right, up or down direction, size, etc…
But the sticky part is going to be driving it with different content on different pages. I.e. you only want to see it on the product details page otherwise the related products aren't really related.
