I developing a second site on Ultimate, call it Domain2.com.
Domain2.com is a live site on another ecomm platform, I'm just migrating it to Ultimate.
Domain2.com is running on the same VPS server with the same IP as the first site.
I've followed the KB instructions (CS-Cart Documentation — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation) for setting up a new store which has a unique domain name. Steps 3 and 4 describe how to setup an Addon Domain which I followed. The problem is that because the domain name already exists on the server, the addon domain cannot be created. The error message is that my domain “is already configured. Sorry, that domain is already setup (remove it from httpd.conf)”.
How do I setup a second ultimate site when the live site is running on the same server? As I write this, it occurs to me that perhaps it is as simple and using a fictitious domain name for development. Then when I am ready, take down the existing site then create the Addon Domain. Does this sound right?

Support told me the only way to do this is use a subdomain as the temp site. Setup [color=#282828][font=arial, verdana, tahoma, sans-serif]httpd.conf using the subdomain, th[/font][/color]en switch when ready.
