I can’t believe that Store Builder CS-Cart 4.20 automatically (defaults) discounts prices! How does one turn off, disable, otherwise prevent the automatic discounting of product prices globally? You can do it for individual products but nowhere can I find a “global” setting to apply for all products?
What do you mean by “automatic discounting” ? Please clarify

The cart appears to be set at “quantity discounting” when most customers only purchase one or two items at a time so they enjoy the discount without having to purchase a quantity. How can we disable this flaw?
Somehow it appears that even though we’ve priced our product at one amount (say $79.99) when it is saved it then comes up $10.00 higher ($89.99)! As a consequence we’re having to under price our products for them to appear at their correct amounts!
I’m thinking you must have an errant add-on somewhere in your installation that is doing this. The default installation of CS-Cart does not do quantity discounts without you turning that feature on per product.

The platform does not discount by default, and quantity (wholesale) discounts cannot be your cause. They are per-product and only apply above a set quantity, so a product with no breaks stays the same price at 1, 2, 10, 100 units, and even a product that has breaks charges full price at 1-2 units. What actually discounts automatically, store-wide, with no coupon and no minimum quantity, is a Catalog promotion - and on Store Builder your store ships with demo promotions preloaded. Go to Marketing → Promotions, look at every promotion whose Zone is “Catalog”, and disable or delete the ones you don’t want. That is your off switch.
Your other point (a product entered at 79.99 showing 89.99) is a separate issue and unrelated to discounts, since none of them raise a price, they only lower it. That is most likely a tax-inclusive price display setting, so check Settings → Taxes and how prices are shown with tax.

This is non-standard behavior. It is required to exmine the issue directly on your server. At first, try to disable 3rd party addons
