Prostores vs cs-cart for me

I currently use cs-cart and am happy with it

I’m thinking of switching to prostores for a few reasons

  1. it integrates with ebay i also sell on ebay

2 it has automatic data feeds (Free Shopping Site Submission)
  2. looks like it has everything i need to sell stuff online just like cs-cart

I know it as per transaction fee of .5%

Well, PLUS $29.95/month for eCommerce Basic, or $59.95/month for eCommerce Plus.

CS-Cart license costs $285. Only one time :

Each additional CS-Cart license costs only $185. Only one time.

Monthly fees + transaction fee Vs. CS-Cart One Time fee + No transaction fee.

Let’s choose right one!

Ebay is the best avenue I have found for selling junk laying around in my garage…

When it comes to “real business” related transactions, we spend so much time answering borderline stupid ebay buyers questions that I often do not think ebay is even worth our efforts!

But if i can remember cs-cart has the

2 it has automatic data feeds (Free Shopping Site Submission)

Also the most malls offer to load your new pricelist to a ftp server… and with cs-cart you can do this.

This alone prevents me from searching ProStores. The .5 percent will add up quickly.

eBay forbids advertising prostore in auctions or fixed fee listings. You can forward traffic to ebay store but not otherwise.

Recently I have opened new cs-cart store and new ebay store. In a week results are ebay fees 50$ (100items) and 2 sales, online website cs-cart just opened 3 sales (30items) with 5$ a day adwords campaign.

Due to these new changes ebay generates to little sales well it depends on a product but I feel a drop from 150feedbacks a month in one shop to 20…

Yea but if you hire a professional to setup website, hosting, order some mods, installation services and so on this would cost x10 cs-cart license costs. Cs-cart support costs more then license. Upgrades like 135 to 2x costs x10 then a license…

True. eBay now makes to many changes and forces to change listings, add this remove that, update that just to many instructions how to run business. In own website you just don’t have to worry of relisting something, paying fees listing something or having as much products as you want.

Sorry to hear that, but I’ve never sold on eBay and never bought any advertising. So, I’m not qualified to say whether eBay or Adwords are profitable or not.

Well, I try to do as much by myself. So far, so good.

What I want to say that cs-cart does need more skills then prostores would and if someone would not have them it would cost much more then a license.

If you play with CS-Cart on your local computer, you can understand step by step “How to do by yourself”!

That’s true, it’s a long run, but learn by ourself is FREE and so exciting!
