Product Tabs Extraordinaire

I believe you can use an iframe in the current product tabs also. Actually, for one of my products, I have to use an I frame for people to order, so its a good thing for me if I frames could be used in the Tabs built into 2.0.12.

Ok, I’ll be the dumby.

What is an iframe and why is it bad or good that they can be used in the tabs?

Yes, I know how to use Google, but I figure I’ll get a more relevant answer about iframes and CS-Cart here.

Brandon,

I don’t know why someone would say an I frame is bad, I would like to know that myself since I plan on using Iframes for one product in my cs-cart tab.

I am using it on a different cart now.

Basically, it’s a window in which another site or page is configured.

If you go to my current non-cs-cart.

There is a search box that says “To find a name” where you can put your name to find music cd’s with your name. All of what happens after this is actually done on another hosted website.

This is one use of an iframe. Google may actually be your better bet for understanding it. I just use it for one purpose.

just because i-frames are very, very old and bad practice. loading external content within a page can cause all kinds of security and rendering issues, so it’s best to avoid.
