Product Options In A Table

I'm hoping to duplicate what seems to be a simple thing in Shopify and Woocommerce and that is to add a number of product options in a table. A good description would be a product that is a variety pack and the customer can choose how many of each flavour they want in their pack.

I have purchased this Add-on: https://store.cart-power.com/cs-cart-options-variants-table-add-on.htmlHowever, I am working with their tech support right now because it doesn't seem to be compatible with UniTheme.

More to the point, there is a lot of simple functionality missing. If you take a look at this product:

https://vivacacao.ca/shop/speciality/holiday-gifts/case-of-18-bars/

You can see that you can enter a number of each flavour and it will stop you at 18 total. The product info is displayed and an item count box. Simple. This is the same here:

https://www.wineland.ca/product/3-bottle-variety-pack/

I can find nothing approaching the simplicity of these simple plugins for other platforms. All I have found are the following:

The last item above is a source code purchase that is not compatible with the latest version of CS Cart. I'm shocked that it is being sold at this price and not compatible. However, is this my only choice? Can anyone provide other options? If I have to, I will buy the source code and do the work, but I would assume that this would be a high demand add-on. Alternatively, do you have any work-arounds?

Thanks!

(PS. I mentioned that I have purchased the Cart Power add-on. I am sure they will get it working with UniTheme, but I don't think fixing it cosmetically will change the fact that the function itself is not quite right.)

Upon further review, this item: https://marketplace.simtechdev.com/product-combinations-table-source-code.htmlis not the source code that will provide the functionality I describe above.

Have you tried minimum order qty and step qty.

eg minimum order qty of 10 and a step qty of 10 will aloow, 10,20,30,40 etc

also them maybe max qty 10

I appreciate you taking the time to reply, but this is not related in any way to my question. My example of having a variety box and then a table of options into which you can enter the quantity of each flavour you want is the simplest way to describe what I am trying to do. Thanks.

but this is not related in any way to my question.

I used the product options table for different qtys of colours in the prev version

I have allowed people to mix and match to the maximum qty of 100 and the minimum qty of 100.

If they dont choose a "flavour"(size in my case) added together to make a qty of 100 it doesnt happen.

Im sure a small mod to the one you are looking at will work the same ?

Good luck

Hmmm...I think you may have given me something to try as a workaround. Thanks for restating your thoughts there. I will give it a try and if I can get something working while I'm waiting on other feedback, I will post what I have done here. Thanks!

I've almost immediately run into the issue where the product package price is $23.00 and it demands a customer choose 3 options from a 6 option list. In order to use the min-qty, max-qty and quantity step method you suggest, I have to display the price as 1/3 or the actual cost. This is a non-starter I'm afraid.

Apply this same logic to the next product, which is a case of 12 items. Now the price showing is per item, but divided by 12. Yes, it is the per item price, but this is too confusing to most shoppers. Since this product will sit along side the actual single item price that is much more than the per item price in a case, support issues will occur.

Am I missing something? Or some workaround to this?

OK...I see you are the add-on and then building this out. I think my issue is the same as the one described above. That does look like a workaround as it stands. Thanks again.

been trying to get a similar concept working for me but without much success as neither the "Product Bundles" nor the "Buy together" addons work well enough as customer does not see that 1 item is not available until they try to buy the combo deal as a whole
I sell flavored combos at a discount and would like the customer to be able to pick any 4 products 1+1+1+1 or 4x1 or 2+2 etc.
Each product is sold individually so not considered a variation of one item.

Suggestions?

I think we are trying to do a very similar thing and running into the same problem. This is an issue that is an existing built in feature to Woocommerce and Shopify etc. I'm really quite surprised that it is not part of the core CS Cart software, and any add-on does not seem to have been constructed to handle it properly.

All indication is that I'm going to have to write this software myself. I can't say when I can get to that, and I also can't say whether or not I can write it as an add-on package that others can use, but I'll try to keep this thread alive for updates. I am still working with Cart Power and their add-on to see if we can get it working, and I'll post progress here about that too. Thanks.

This add-on is about the closest I have seen to what I am looking for as far as allowing the customer to select a variety of items to make their own bundle / flavor sampler

Cart Power is advising that I try this Add-On:

https://store.cart-power.com/cs-cart-product-as-option-add-on.html

I am switching to it now and I will update you with any progress. Thanks!

A long time since I've posted here. I could not get any add-on to work. I'm still looking for a way to offer a single product set of options where the customer can pick the number of each option. The options should not be separate products, nor should they have a price attached to them. To give an example again...

I have a box of protein bars. It is a mixed box with 18 total bars. The customer can choose from 6 flavours as long as the total number of bars selected equals 18. The number and selection should not effect the price.

This is a very common function in Shopify and Woocommerce. You can see an example of what I'm talking about here:

https://www.wineland.ca/product/12-case/

On this page, you have a case and you have to add up the numbers of each flavour until you hit the case count. This is a Woocommerce cart and a common addition. If anyone knows of an add-on like this, or would like to quote me on making this add-on, please message me here or direct. Thank you.

I too am still trying to find a decent combo generator. Product bundles and buy together are just not able to do the basic task of allowing a customer to pick selection of a set number of items. Have tried different discount options but none work if there is a selection of 6 items and you want to let the customer choose any variety of 4 of them for a set price. Bundles and buy together allow out of stock items to be included and customer only finds that out when they select the combo and get the out of stock messages. Had to abandon that concept and make my own preset combos manually and manage inventory of them off system.

See here

Really would like to be able to have the customer pick and choose the items from that selection themselves, 4 vanilla, 2 mint and 1 rum, 1 cherry etc but only have in stock items available for selection
