I have just started on a trial with CS Cart and having performed a migration from my existing store now have data populated to work with. Within my old store I had a number of products with variants using stock control so each variant could be priced individually along with stock levels.
On my migration it seems like the variants have been set to combinations in my products so I can see the method of updating stock, however it has totally messed up the pricing which needs to be edited correctly.
For example, my old shop pricing on a variant did not +/- the price to that of the parent product, where the parent was priced as £4.50 for 10ml the 30ml price was =£12.50 but this has migrated as +£12.50
Ordinarily this wouldn't be such a concern as it's a case of just amending prices, I cannot see how on earth you amend combination prices in CS Cart and can't see a method to add stock control to the standard options system or global options (as my shop has many of the same size variants recurring that would be easy to implement otherwise)
I have looked through the documentation but am totally baffled and as a result stuck.
Does anyone have a simple explanation on how to edit the combination prices or if this isn't the best way to setup product variant or options with stock control how to set it up?
Regards
Just to add to this as no-one seems to be answering any questions I have for this cart so far:
I figured a work around which essentially means removing all of my product options (variants) and starting again from scratch - lots of work I am not entirely happy to have to be doing but a little expected as it's a migration - that is if the product options and combinations actually worked for me.
I am deleting all of my migrated combinations - they have migrated into a combination with no name, no options to edit and and no stock control system appears to be attached, naturally this is easily deleted to start from fresh and it appears perhaps to be a badly completed area of the migration.
So I am back to a new product with no options, I save it first to be sure it's clear in the database:
I add my global option - this works fine.
I then go into product combinations and either add option manually or rebuild combinations.
When that is saved only some of the combinations have the stock I submitted added to them, clearing cache makes no difference and it would seem I then have to repeat the process a number of times to have the software display the stock I have just set.
I must be missing something, please someone tell me that I am missing something as I cannot understand how adding stock control to product options and variants is so hit and miss otherwise. Each product variant should take me around 5 minutes per product to delete and add from fresh - currently I am taking 25-30 minutes with mixed results.
You should enable the Enable inventory tracking option on the Settings > General page and set the Inventory option in the spesific product settings to Track with options. After that you will be able to specify the stock amount for each option combination. Hope this will help you.

Thanks, I have already done this however.
I have just installed cs cart again from fresh in a subdomain to test the option combination issue. In this install I didn't migrate any data but added it in manually with global options (inventory tracked) and then for the stock control used option combinations again. I have tried it with the rebuild function and adding the items and stock manually.
Essentially though, the same situation is happening where some items are showing as in stock with the levels I entered while others that should be in stock are showing out of stock.
On one hand I am relieved because it means I haven't been having so many problems due to the migrated data, the other hand though is that I am now at the stage where I have to purchase CS Cart and hope that support can sort it swiftly as it seems a pretty basic function to not work out of the box.
