Prices Without Vat In Admin

Hi Guys

I have been using CS Cart of quite a while now, But this is only becomming an issue now. I not sure if this is possible or is there an add-on for it.

When I put in a price for a product, Price or list price. I want to be able to enter it minus the Vat and display this price on the front end. But also display the Vat inclusive price.

Currently I have to put in the price including the Vat in the admin and it displays a message on the site "includes Vat"

This is quite inconvinient as my accounts package only works with figures excluding VAT. and I want to be able to import and export between the site and the accounts package.

Am I missing some setting.

But that is already what I have, So you put £1,85 in the price in admin and it work it back to £1.55 without Vat.

What I want to do is enter the £1.55 in the price field and the have it display the price with Vat on the front end.

The reason I want to do it this way is to make it easy to sync with CSV to my accounts package.

It would also be helpful if I could dictate the VAT rate to be applied per product. As not all products have the same VAT rate.

NO, I put the net value in the price field then CS adds the vat as you require.

You can also set various vat, so some products can be vat and some vat free

Thanks for that Johnbol1, I see where I went wrong, in the Taxes setup I had the "prices includes Vat" ticked. So will have to do a bulk reduce on the prices I have entered and then untic this box.

But it still leaves another issue which is not so simple. I run a multi store setup and some of the products I may sell might have different Vat rates.

But the Vat rates setup is global to all stores and only gives the choice to have VAT or NO VAT. But in reality there are five different Vat rates in Ireland.

Does anyone have a solutions.

Probably easier to just import your net prices instead of relying on the bulk edit, but your call.

As for multi store, cant help Im afraid.

But I know you can set up as many vat rates as you like and assign them to what you like ?

While you can setup as many VAT rates as you like you can only assign them to countries as far as I can see. Not individual products.

Scroll down the product in admin and you will see each vat rate you have set up. You just choose which one you want for each product.

i.e. we have vat and vat free, so on kids items we choose vat free, on adults we choose vat.

These are also editable by bulk edit and import ( i prefer import) set 2 products up with the rates you want and export them to see how to use the spreadsheet layout/csv.

In this image you can have as many rates as you have set up in taxes, then choose which one to associate with your product

Thanks for that I will test and hopefully this will solve my issue.
