We’ll save the last search results in the session, and add prev/next links to navigate between them on the details page. Link to the latest search will be added to the breadcrumbs, e.g.
back to: Products (link to products list page) :: Search results (link to the latest product search results)
Also, we’ll add the “Save and close” button (so, we’ll have “Save”, “Save and close” and “Cancel” buttons on the details page) to save data and return to the latest search results.
As always, any ideas and suggestions are appreciated.

This is an excellent layout for a choice on detail product page on storefront side.
Such a choice is really needed to improve customer experience when they are trying to browse through a listing of products that does not show all options and other details in that search or category listing.
[quote name=‘sixnin9’]I don’t see this functionality in 2.1.1. Is it hidden there somewhere or was the plan shelved?

It’s only available when editing products on the admin side.
Having a similar feature on the customer side would have been much more beneficial as a satisfactory customer shopping experience is the #1 way in increasing sales.

These guys have been pretty good at listening to us so put it in the ideas section. The implementation they did was for the admin side which is what was requested.
Understood but did any of the people who suggested this put this in the ideas area so it could be voted on which is how cs-cart determines what functionality they will add in? The request in ideas was for an admin change which is completely different than a front end change. These are clearly 2 separate requests and should be treated as such as they affect completely different pages. I think both changes are great additions to the cart but I personally had voted on the admin change for it’s own merits since it is a huge time saver for me.
So on a product detail page (that you can get to from a large variety fo prior links - filters, features, searches, categories, etc.), what should the prev/next take you to?
