Also, the upgrade brings usability improvements for store administrators:
A customer can specify the email subject when sending it to the administrator through a form. Now you see clear and precise subjects of your customers’ email messages.
An admin can create statuses for shipments, so managers who usually process many orders don’t get confused about which order they packed, which shipped, and which still needs packing.
In Multi-Vendor, admins can enable a shipping method for all the vendors with a single click instead of assigning a shipping method to each vendor manually.
Store Import add-on doesn’t come with the installation package—admins download it free from the CS-Cart Marketplace. Distributing the Store Import add-on on the Marketplace allows us to devote more time to improving Store Import and release new versions of the add-on more often.
PayPal In-Context Checkout in enabled by default in new CS-Cart installations. If you haven’t enabled it before, it stays disabled after the upgrade via the Upgrade center.
As always, look for detailed info about each change in our blog post.
How to Get the New Version
We’re distributing upgrade packages in batches, as always. License owners with active upgrade subscriptions will see upgrades available in their admin panels within a week. If you missed the upgrade availability notification, go to Administration → Upgrade Center and check for the upgrade.
How come the removal of the free-mode comes bundled in a 4.3.7 "minor" release. That's a pretty big change considering anyone who wants to use the free mode is now stuck on 4.3.6.
What is the version control system you have in place because removing something that big shouldn't be in a 'patch' release.

Hello,
Version 4.3.7 is not a "patch", it's a minor release with minor improvements. Minor releases change the last (third) digit in the version number.
Good to hear released the CS-Cart version 4.3.7 with minor changes. Your post articles links shows 404 page so check the update the URL accordingly.
Thank you for your remark. That post will be published tomorrow. The post will contain some very important info for actual free version users. If you're interested, stay tuned to our blog not ot miss it.

If your version control system followed SemVer it'd be classed as a patch though.
What is your version control system that's in place because a change such as the removal of the free mode is not something that should have been released, in your case, a 'minor' release. That's pretty big functionality that should increment at least the first or second number, not third.
Curious how will affect the future of CS-Cart after discontinuing the free version. Recently (one of) the bigges competitors still offers their free version.
Free trial is just enough…maybe a procedural mistake was made in incrementing the version number but as one old expression says : The Horse is not evaluated by its Teeth number
437 is in upgrade center, anyone already tested, is upgrade headache free?
That depends.
If you do not have Innodb enabled on your server, the upgrade will not complete because the phinxlog table uses Innodb. Real nice to have to enable Innodb for 1 single table. Also, thanks for the heads up CSC.
If you have any core modifications, you will have to sort through the numerous files that were updated because apparently CSC does not know the exact files that you yourself modified so they just list them all. Also, there is no file comparison still so again to CSC, thanks for making our upgrading more difficult.

Thank you for mentioning SemVer. We're planing to reconsider our version control system in the foreseeable future.
