Hello,
I have seen this template from Coding Staff called DJ Store and have seen that it has a beautifull photo background and the text boxes and sideboxes are semi transaparent (reduced opacity) so the background can be seen below.
Please, how could I put this photo background in the back of the home page and reduce the opacity of the other blocks of the cart so it can be seen through ?
I suposse that this could be done changing some CSS files.
Thanks very much
Kindest regards
From the link above I have put this image showing the effect here
Assuming you are trying to copy look like this: http://demo.codingstaff.org/index.php?demo_skin[C]=cs_dj_store
Use “developer tools” in your browser to identify the elements and what they are doing with them.
e.g. in http://demo.codingstaff.org/skins/cs_dj_store/customer/styles.css the class wrapper is using http://demo.codingstaff.org/skins/cs_dj_store/customer/images/background.jpg as background
Once you do that it would be a bit of work…OR you can pay $120 for it, which I reckon, given how long it would take to recreate it, is cheap.
Thanks very much for your answer, is very interesting.

I am not trying to copy or make anything like this template, because I do not like it, is not at all what I want or need, is far away from the design I have in mind.
What I really want is to put a whole Jungle Forest photo as a full background and then be able to make the menu, categories, and all the other blocks transparent so you could see through them, although would be slighty transparent so you can read well the text and options. And would be in green, white and blue colors.

Thanks very much for this as I have forgotten that as you say you can see the code of the page and see what they are using and how is configured and what kind of CSS is made.

Yes, is true and is good to know it and also I have seen in the code many places where is put “transparent” so this must the CSS for the other parts.

Yes, it would be better to buy it and have it already made and then customize it, BUT as said above I do not like the whole design and I would need to change too many things so is nearly about what I want, so I think is not worth it if you are not going to use it as it is or customize it lightly.
Now I think I have put this thread in the wrong place, as I should have put it in the Version 2.x > Store Design & Templates forum
I have just found there this 3 threads that look interesting and useful
