For some reason a “Skip payment” checkbox recently appeared on our site (v. 4.1.5) just below the enter your credit card payment section! How can we remove this checkbox? Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!!!

[/quote]Sounds like maybe a type of payment method is allowing this.

No this is independent of any payment option we try. We disable our Beansteam API and just use our PayPal API and it's still there and vice versa. Does anyone have experience with this issue?
We found the issue. Don’t place an order via the front-end while being logged in as an “Admin”. The “Skip payment” checkbox is only visible to admins who are placing an order via the front-end not customers.
That's an interesting piece of info. Sounds like a bug. This should only be an option when in the admin area and/or possibly when acting on behalf of…

Why do you think that this is a bug? It is default behavior since old versions. If you use the “act on behalf” feature, there is an ability for the administrator to skip the payment. Of course, this check box is not displayed to the regular customers.

The OP never mentioned “act on behalf of”, only that he was logged into an admin account as a customer…

That's correct. We were logged in using our admin account via the front-end, we did not click anything about “acting on behalf of…” We've been doing this to run test orders for years and we've never seen this “Skip payment” checkbox before yesterday.
Did you ever find out what caused this - or if it's just something new in V4? We've been running tests on every site we set up since v2 and have never seen this before either.
its when your logged in as admin.
