I am almost ready to go live with CS Cart. Prior to CS Cart, my store has been using PP Standard and all the shipping calc is done by payPal standard buttons based on weights that I assign each product inside the button code.
As I switch over to CS Cart, is the entire shipping cost calculation done in CS and the total product plus shipping cost sent to PayPal?
Yes CS does calculate the shipping costs and will then add that to the total cost of the product including any taxes you may be charging which will then get passed to Paypal or whatever payment gateway you are using to either be authed or charged depending on your configuration.
Thanks. Will PP then show the amount of shipping that CS has calced or does that amount of shipping show in CS before buyer gets to PP?
In my site you see the different options for shipping and the price. so yes they see it before they goto paypal
