I have a problem with PayPal Standard:
- I have a PayPal SandBox account set up with both buyer and seller testing accounts
- A buyer places an order online, and pays via PayPal Standard
- Even after the payment is successful, the order status is still “Open”
Shouldn’t it be changed to “Processed” instead? With “Open” status, the only way to make sure the payment is successful from the Admin side is to login onto the PayPal account to check manually whether there is a payment on the order or not.
If a buyer uses PayPal Express, and upon successful payment, the order status is changed to “Processed” automatically when the buyer returns to the shopping site from the PayPal Express payment pages. In addition. all the payment detail information (Payment Method, GrossAmount, Transaction ID, etc.) is also listed.
However, with PayPal Standard, the order status doesn’t change upon a successful payment, and only “PayPal Standard” is listed as the Payment Method under the order, and no payment detail information.
Anybody else has the same problem?

This might be due using the sand box, but I would ask the CS-Cart support.
As my previous experience, PayPal Standard with SandBox account, the result process will go thru seller’s SandBox account. you should check your SandBox account setting first.
For the production payment processing,You need to use the same email account for PayPal Express and PayPal Standard .
As I knew some of CS-cart forum users suggest using PayPal Express only, due to higher transaction failure rate from PayPal Standard. Also PayPal Express give buyers more secure features than PayPal Standard.
